It all began in 1915 in the trenches of World War I, when Erich Mendelsohn, a German-Jewish soldier, drew sketches on tiny pieces of paper and sent them to Louise Mass, a young cellist who was waiting for him in Berlin. These sketches have inspired a whole generation of architects, among them - Jorn Utzon, Frank Gehry and Daniel Libeskind. Almost a 100 year later, we bring the legacy of Erich Mendelsohn back to the places that he built.
